  I walked out on the sermon this morning as I was unable to focus after Pastor Lowe allowed his guest speaker (Childs) to open with a plug for a water filter he was selling in the lobby. I was reminded of several verses in the bible that speak of Jesus entering temples and chasing out merchants; Matthew 21:12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. "It is written", He said to them, "My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a 'den of robbers.' " John 2:15 So He made of whip out of cords, and drove all the from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves He said, "Get those out of here! Stop turning my Father's house into a market!" I was just as angered this morning after Childs started with "I'm not trying to hock my product", but then proceeded into telling of all its benefits. There was no mention of proceeds or profits benefiting any charities other than to line his own pockets. Had Jesus been present in that church this morning he would have surely been outraged turning over tables and driving out the 'money changers'. I will not be returning.
